outfit of the month: corduroy

after a few days of oddly warm days, fall is finally here. it was a gorgeous day--sky blue, sun shining--but there's a definite chill in the air. many years ago, i had a business trip to paris and bought a beautiful light pink coat in fine wale corduroy for cousin alicia. she never wore it. not even once. so when the weather turned chilly, i dug it out of the storage, and it fits amelia perfectly. she's also wearing these great fine wale dark green cords with small embroidered flowers that grandma kwon sent. and her shoes? see kai run (my fav brand of kids shoes), black mary janes with red appliqued flowers. i was rather proud of the ensemble, though her babysitter actually dressed her this morning.
