my last day of leave

sunday was glorious--the sun was shining, it was cool, but warm under the sun. so we had an outdoor adventure of sorts: we decided to ride the famed san francisco cable car. amelia looooves cable cars. whenever we drive by one, she yells, "caaable caaaaar!!!!" it's the cutest thing. so after a beautiful breakfast during which amelia decided she was going to eat only smoked salmon (yes, she's a new yorker at heart), we parked at fort mason, walked through the park there and got on the cable car and went up to nob hill. we walked around to the grace cathedral area, made use of the swings at a nearby playground, headed back to our car via cable car and bus, stopped for delicious vegetarian sandwiches at greens and then went back home. all before 1:30. ahhh, the pleasures of being a parent.
