amelia has met her match

at our various playdates, amelia tends to be, shall we say, fierce when it comes to defending her turf/toys. today, amelia met her match in a boy named abe. they were both interested in this little chair here, and at one point, even sat next each other nicely. but then amelia sat in the chair herself, abe wanted to be there by himself, and when she refused to leave, he pretty much elbowed her out of the way. surprisingly, she didn't even cry all that much about having to give up the throne. it's like she knew she was no match for his size. by contrast, here's amelia and zoe sitting nicely, sharing a bowl of goldfish crackers:
