big kid
sometime last week, amelia officially became a Big Kid. Here's why:
1. she decided that "no bottle, mama, cup." yes, it's about a year behind everyone else, but she woke up one morning and decided that she could drink milk out of a cup after all.
2. she decided that she could pee in a potty, and in fact, as pictured below, she wears underwear most of the day, and only wears diapers for her nap and for nighttime.
3. she decided on a new photo face, also pictured below. she looks directly at the camera, and grins a great big grin. it's just about the cutest thing.

Nice! That's a lot of growing up in a short time. I'm sure you're overjoyed to be outta diapers. We're still easing into it.
wow! what's your secret for toilet training? bess prefers to wear her potty on her head.
she pretty much just decided that she was ready. we had been reading books about potties and had potties around the house for months, and one day, she decided she could, in fact, pee in it. it was pretty amazing, i must say!
