playing dress up
we don't encourage the princess stuff at all, and some might say we even discourage it, but we went over to jada's house and she had a box full of dress up clothes, tiaras, purses, and we certainly couldn't deny amelia the opportunity to play princess at someone else's house. check out how pleased amelia is with herself:

graduation
so here's what the kids were supposed to do: 1. form a line, 2. walk into the room with the traditional graduation theme song playing, 3. find a seat, and 4. sing three songs.
this is what happened instead:
1. kids loosely formed a line:
2. kids saw their parents and tried to make a break for them (see little boy wailing on the left, amelia in the middle pointing at us):
3. some kids made it to the chairs, only 3 or 4 actually sang (check out the little blond boy fourth from the left who is covering his ears because of the singing):
4. and here's how they ended up, most of them not in the seats, and maybe 1 singing:
all in all, hilarious! amelia managed to make it to the chairs and stayed there the whole time, though we didn't hear her singing at all. here she is, after the formal activities, face paint and all:
here she is chasing poppa around with her school friend:
and here she is with her school friend and one of her teachers:congratulations amelia! onward and upward to pre-pre-k!
