haircut!

after much begging from everyone, poppa relented and allowed gaby to get a haircut. we all agree that he looks much cuter, though poppa still laments the loss of the crazy baby hair look.

i say he's still got some pretty crazy hair--but his hair isn't poking his eyes anymore, that's all.

ok, we cheated, we threw the kids a joint birthday party. so no, we weren't celebrating someone's 51st birthday, but rather a 5th birthday and a 1st.

amelia to poppa, when shopping for her birthday present: "no, we can't buy that scooter, mommy will freak out."

poppa: "it's ok, amelia. if you want it we can buy it."

amelia: "okay, let's buy it."

amelia to momma, after coming home with aforementioned scooter: "mommy, there isn't too much barbie on this scooter, right? there's only one picture of barbie on it!"
