the muffin girl
amelia and i baked for the first time together on sunday night. i'm not much of a baker, but i've got a freezer full of frozen, overripe bananas and thought it was time to make some banana muffins. amelia was clad in her super-cute apron (from auntie jen), and we got to work creaming the butter and sugar and eggs, mixing flour, etc. amelia commented every couple of minutes, "momma, this is really fun!" she also threw in, "daddy is going to be soooo proud of us." and the muffins turned out great! we tried one straight out of the oven, and amelia declared the top of the muffin to be her favorite part. the next morning, amelia told poppa, "the muffin was better when it was warm." she's just too smart.
