room of the day: the way high

this is amelia's favorite room, The Way High. one of her little friends has a playroom way at the top of his house, and he calls it The Way High. so when she discovered that she had her own playroom (and office, for her parents), located above the garage, the only room that's on a different floor from the rest of the house, she dubbed it The Way High too. i love the name--it's sort of vaguely Tolkien, befitting a room with a round window.

new house, new baby...

yes, i know, it's been a really long time, but we've moved to a new house (hurray!), and i'm about the size of a house (we're expecting another baby, a boy this time, currently named by amelia as kwon gopher kwong). so those are my excuses. but in any event: here's me and amelia in front of the new place:
